At JR-workshop, each enamel piece is handmade—fired in flame, grounded in glass, and crafted with care. Handmade enamel jewelry uses the technique of vitreous enameling, where fine glass powder is applied to a metal base (often 925 sterling silver) and fired at 750°C to 850°C. The result is a smooth, colorful, and glass-like finish.
Because each enamel piece is handcrafted and kiln-fired at high temperatures, subtle variations in color, transparency, and surface texture are a natural part of the process. These unique characteristics are not defects but part of the beauty and individuality of handmade enamel art.
Avoid contact with perfumes, cleaners, and other chemicals. Gently wipe the jewelry with a soft cloth and rinse with clean water regularly. When not in use, store the jewelry in a sealed bag to prevent oxidation. Avoid dropping or hitting against hard surfaces, and keep away from extreme heat.
