Freeze the Moment, the Gift of Time | Ginkgo Leaf

After the trials of life, faith sometimes sways like a candle, and needs to be rekindled. To regain confidence, we choose to imitate the Creator’s creation and draw inspiration from natural plants that can heal the body and mind.

Ginkgo has been hailed as a living fossil in the plant world since ancient times. Its longevity and ancient posture are like the precipitation of time. Its shade in summer and golden color in autumn give it a unique romance and poetry. In the autumn when ginkgo leaves are falling all over the sky, we deeply feel the healing power of nature. As the ancient poem says, “The ground is full of yellow ginkgo leaves, and the world is suddenly shocked to announce success.” The turning leaves are not only the mark of the season, but also a tribute to the colorful stages of life.

Because I love the colorful colors cast by the sun through the church glass paintings… This openwork enamel earring “Ginkgo Leaf“ uses the exquisite openwork enamel (Plique-à-jour) process, which is the same as the “Green Willow Leaves” process released earlier, but the difficulty is doubled due to the size difference and color change.

The earrings are based on nature and are designed in the form of casual and asymmetrical ginkgo leaves, as if swaying in the breeze, capturing the subtle moment when the leaves turn from green to golden. The translucent enamel has rich layers, making the leaves present a natural vein-like texture under the light, giving the wearer a warm breath like the warm autumn sun.

From design to production, this earring has undergone many attempts and improvements. In order to find the most suitable presentation method for the charm of ginkgo leaves, we have been repeatedly considering the plan since early summer, from the curvature of the veins to the subtle ups and downs of the edges… to every link such as firing, coloring, and polishing. In order to ensure the natural coordination of light transmission and color transition, and to achieve the ideal effect, we have spent nearly a month studying photography techniques… We hope to continuously accumulate and improve various skills, seek a suitable rhythm, and help integrate work into life.
